Job Description
Albright, Yee & Schmit, APC is a downtown Los Angeles-based law firm with significant public entity and corporate clients. Our firm is seeking an associate-level attorney with at least four years of litigation experience in tort, labor, and employment law to join our team. Responsibilities:
Provide exceptional legal counsel on labor and employment-related matters, which may include, but not limited to, human resources issues, wage and hour law, unemployment and other state agency claims, labor relations, employee benefits, employment agreements, and policy-related issues, employment-related litigation, and grievances.
Prepare and draft legal documents on behalf of clients.
Identify and assess legal risks and opportunities within the labor and employment area and advise accordingly.
Negotiate settlements for legal disputes.
Educate clients and stakeholders on legal matters, policies, and procedures.
Perform administrative and management functions related to the practice of law.
Qualifications:
Must have a minimum of four (4) years of substantive litigation experience.
Familiarity with various legal documents.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to build rapport with clients.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
