The Associate Attorney at DYADlaw, P.C. is a passionate advocate for immigration and immigrant rights, dedicated to providing exceptional legal representation. This role encompasses a broad spectrum of immigration law, including non-immigrant visas, humanitarian visas, consular processing, waivers, and federal litigation. The Associate Attorney will represent clients in USCIS interviews, EOIR court hearings, and appellate work. This position requires a dynamic and driven individual who is committed to defending the rights of immigrants while navigating complex legal processes with professionalism and integrity.
Responsibilities
Draft, review, and finalize correspondence and legal documents, including but not limited to briefs, Requests for Evidence (RFEs), motions, and USCIS applications.
Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to prepare for and attend hearings, EOIR court proceedings, and other legal appearances, providing competent legal counsel to clients.
Assess and resolve conflicts in legal matters, advising clients on strategies and solutions tailored to their specific cases.
Collaborate effectively with associates, team members, and clients to ensure timely and efficient case management and resolution.
Conduct pre-sale consultations, assess case eligibility, and address qualification questions to support the legal team.
Handle client communications in all forms, including email, phone, and in-person interactions, ensuring clear and professional correspondence.
Coordinate with multiple teams to safeguard the firm’s interests and confirm that client cases are processed accurately and efficiently.
Stay proficient with case management systems and internal operational tools, adhering to firm policies and processes.
Participate in training programs and contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance team efficiency and service delivery.
Uphold and enforce confidentiality and data protection standards for all client information.
Monitor and stay updated on changes in immigration law and procedures, ensuring compliance and effective case strategies.
Take on additional responsibilities and tasks as needed to support the firm’s objectives and client outcomes.
Qualifications
In-Office Preference: We prefer the legal team to be onsite to interact directly with the team and clients.
Remote Opportunities:Remote work arrangements are available and will be considered based on the applicant’s location and ability to maintain productivity and communication standards remotely.
Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
Active bar license in good standing from any U.S. state or Puerto Rico.
Fluent in Spanish (preferred).
Strong analytical abilities to accurately assess and articulate critical issues in complex cases.
Exceptional legal research and writing skills, with a creative and solution-oriented approach.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, effective in both the office and courtroom settings.
Proficiency with Google Suite, Adobe Acrobat, and related software applications.
Demonstrated ability to manage tasks and meet multiple deadlines in a challenging and fast-paced environment.
Team management skills, including solution-based problem-solving and collaboration.
Self-sufficient and capable of completing tasks with minimal supervision.
Exhibits professionalism in interactions with attorneys, support staff, and clients.
Uphold confidentiality and data protection standards at all times.
Thrives in a team-oriented environment while maintaining individual accountability.
Compensation: $80,000 – $125,000 per year + bonuses
