Our office in St. Louis is growing and we are seeking a highly skilled Associate Attorney specializing in Insurance Defense to join our legal team. This position offers a chance to work in a collaborative environment with innovative and dynamic professionals. We are looking for candidates who will play a pivotal role in providing exceptional legal services to our clients and contributing to the overall success of the firm.
Key Responsibilities
Case Management: Handle a diverse caseload of insurance defense matters from inception through resolution, including conducting legal research, drafting pleadings, and preparing motions.
Client Representation: Represent clients in court proceedings, depositions, mediations, and arbitrations. Maintain regular communication with clients to provide updates and address concerns.
Legal Strategy: Develop and implement effective legal strategies tailored to the needs of each client. Analyze complex legal issues and provide sound legal advice.
Discovery Process: Manage all aspects of the discovery process, including drafting and responding to discovery requests, conducting depositions, and coordinating with expert witnesses.
Negotiation: Engage in settlement negotiations with opposing counsel and insurance adjusters to achieve favorable outcomes for clients.
Qualifications
Education: Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Licensure: Must be licensed to practice law in Missouri.
Experience: Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in insurance defense, with a proven track record of successful case outcomes.
Skills:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and oral communication abilities.
Proficient in legal research tools and case management software.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
