A law firm seeks a dedicated and skilled Associate Attorney to join its team in Northport, NY. Duties:
Handle a diverse range of litigation matters, focusing on personal injury, insurance, business law, and estate planning.
Represent clients in both plaintiff and defense practices.
Conduct legal research, draft motions, and prepare for hearings and trials.
Participate in depositions, mediations, and negotiations on behalf of clients.
Develop and manage cases from inception to resolution.
Maintain strong client relationships and provide legal counsel on a variety of legal matters.
Collaborate with other attorneys and staff to develop case strategies and ensure case progression.
If applicable, take advantage of fee-sharing opportunities for work originated by you.
Requirements:
Proven experience in litigation, particularly in personal injury, insurance, business law, or estate planning.
Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously, with attention to detail and deadlines.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
Capable of working both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Must be a licensed attorney, with the ability to practice law in New York.
Education:
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
Certifications:
Valid Bar license to practice law in New York.
Skills:
In-depth knowledge of personal injury law, insurance, business, and estate law.
Strong legal research and writing skills.
Experience with case management, litigation procedures, and trial preparation.
Excellent negotiation and client communication abilities.
Organizational skills to handle a high volume of cases efficiently.
Ability to work in a hybrid setting with flexibility in scheduling.
