We are currently seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Pre-Litigation Paralegal to join our dynamic team.
Position Summary:
The Pre-Litigation Paralegal will play a vital role in managing personal injury cases from intake through settlement. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to effectively communicate with clients, medical providers, and insurance companies. The ideal candidate is highly motivated, dependable, and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage a caseload of pre-litigation personal injury files under attorney supervision
Communicate regularly with clients to provide updates, gather information, and ensure client satisfaction
Order, track, and organize medical records and bills
Draft demand letters, settlement documents, and other correspondence
Assist in preparing settlement proposals and disbursement statements
Maintain accurate case notes and document all interactions in case management software
Monitor case deadlines and ensure timely follow-up on outstanding items
Work closely with attorneys, medical providers, and insurance adjusters to move cases forward efficiently
Qualifications:
2+ years of experience in personal injury law, preferably in a pre-litigation paralegal or case manager role
Strong knowledge of personal injury processes, terminology, and case flow
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Highly organized with the ability to multitask and manage deadlines
Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with legal case management software (e.g., Needles, Filevine, Clio) is a plus
Empathetic and professional approach when dealing with injured clients
Self-starter with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
