Compensation:
$108,200 yearly
Responsibilities:
Our ideal candidate possesses over 2 years of experience in family law and is knowledgeable about Minnesota procedures. The candidate must demonstrate strong attention to detail and excellent follow-up skills.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Preparing motions, affidavits, legal arguments, testimony, and trial briefs
Conducting thorough preparations for hearings
Consulting with clients to strategize on cases
Communicating with opposing parties, courts, and relevant stakeholders
Conducting comprehensive legal research to identify and apply pertinent case law, statutes, and judicial decisions
Investigating the facts surrounding cases
Reviewing and staying updated on new laws and regulations
Drafting substantive correspondence
Reviewing and approving documents prepared by paralegals
Qualifications:
2+ years’ experience in family law
Admitted to Minnesota Bar
Expresses sensitivity to others – can make clients feel comfortable sharing personal information relating to their cases
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Open-minded and willing to learn
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
Can quickly adapt to changing deadlines
Ability to manage many cases at one time
Technologically savvy
Extensive use of Microsoft Office products
