We are seeking a motivated Associate Attorney to join our fast-growing practice.
Any experience level is acceptable based on the right candidate. Must be a licensed NC attorney to be considered.
Position Overview
This role is ideal for a licensed attorney with proven estate planning experience who is interested in building a long-term career in estate planning and probate. This is a very client-facing role. The associate will work directly with clients, conduct document signings, and draft estate planning documents.
Importantly:
- No hard sales requirements
- No hourly billing requirements
- No requirement to bring in clients
You will focus on practicing law—not generating business.
Primary Responsibilities
- Conduct estate planning document signing appointments (Wills, Revocable Trusts, Powers of Attorney, etc.)
- Draft estate planning documents with accuracy and attention to detail
- Lead client consultations for estate planning and probate matters
- Handle probate and estate administration cases from start to finish
- Communicate clearly and compassionately with clients during emotionally sensitive matters
- Coordinate with paralegals and administrative staff to ensure efficient workflow
- Maintain high standards of professionalism and client service
Qualifications
- Licensed and in good standing with the North Carolina State Bar
- 0-5 years of legal experience.
- Knowledge of estate planning documents (Trusts, Wills, Trusts, POAs, Advance Directives, Deeds)
- Strong drafting skills
- Comfortable leading client meetings
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
- Ability to travel between our Raleigh and Rolesville offices as needed
- Professional demeanor and strong interpersonal skills
- Licensed notary is a plus
- Experience in estate planning is a huge plus, but not absolutely required
