Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Associate Attorney to work closely with the principal attorney on all aspects of family law cases. This role offers hands-on litigation experience and client engagement, making it an ideal fit for attorneys looking to grow their careers in family law.
Responsibilities
Represent clients in court hearings, status calls, pretrials, and trials.
Manage discovery, including drafting and responding to discovery requests and subpoenas.
Draft pleadings, motions, settlement agreements, and other legal documents.
Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda on family law issues, including financial matters, parenting disputes, and litigation strategies.
Assist in preparation for and representation in mediation and collaborative law processes.
Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and the court.
Second chair trials.
Assist in appeals.
Qualifications
1+ years of litigation experience (family law preferred but not required).
Strong legal writing, research, and analytical skills (Westlaw proficiency preferred).
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple cases.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Compassionate and client-focused approach to legal representation.
