Overview

We are seeking a motivated Associate Attorney to join our family law practice. This is a primarily remote position with flexibility and autonomy, while requiring attendance at court hearings, mediations, client meetings, and other in-person proceedings as needed.

The attorney will handle a family law caseload, communicate with clients and opposing counsel, draft pleadings and legal documents, negotiate, and advocate for clients in court. The ideal candidate is organized, professional, responsive, and comfortable working independently.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a caseload of family law matters from intake through resolution.
  • Communicate professionally and consistently with clients, opposing counsel, and the Court.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, proposed orders, agreements, and other legal documents.
  • Attend court hearings, mediations, depositions, and other in-person proceedings as required.
  • Conduct legal research and prepare for hearings, trials, and mediations.
  • Negotiate settlements and advocate for clients both in and out of court.
  • Maintain accurate case files, deadlines, and case management records.
  • Provide clients with practical legal advice regarding their family law matters.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and staff to effectively manage cases and meet deadlines.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active license to practice law in the State of Oklahoma and in good standing.
  • Experience or interest in practicing family law.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines independently.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
  • Strong legal research, writing, negotiation, and advocacy skills.
  • Professional, dependable, and responsive work ethic.
  • Ability to work primarily remotely while attending required court hearings, mediations, and other in-person proceedings.
  • Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with attorneys and staff.

Pay: $80,000.00 – $100,000.00 per year
