Associate Attorney – Defense Litigation

Position Summary
Our growing defense litigation firm is seeking a motivated Associate Attorney to join our Tulsa office. The ideal candidate will have 1–5 years of civil litigation experience and a strong commitment to delivering exceptional legal representation to clients in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. This role provides significant responsibility, courtroom exposure, and opportunities for professional growth.
Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of defense litigation matters from inception through resolution.
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, legal memoranda, and other litigation documents.
- Conduct legal research and prepare case evaluations.
- Take and defend depositions, attend hearings, mediations, and settlement conferences.
- Develop case strategy in collaboration with partners and clients.
- Communicate regularly with clients, insurance carriers, opposing counsel, and the courts.
- Prepare cases for trial, including witness preparation, exhibit organization, and trial support.
- Maintain accurate case files and meet billing and reporting requirements.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
- Active license to practice law in Oklahoma and in good standing.
- 1–5 years of civil litigation or insurance defense experience preferred.
- Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
- Excellent oral advocacy and communication abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work independently while collaborating with a legal team.
- Experience with case management software and Microsoft Office is preferred.

Pay: $100,000.00 – $150,000.00 per year
