Job Mission
The AVP – Legal and Compliance provides legal support to the Group, focusing on disputes, litigation, labor compliance, contract review, and risk mitigation. This role ensures compliance with labor laws, assesses legal liabilities, and supports the Chief Legal and Compliance Officer in managing legal risks. As a strategic partner, the AVP – Legal and Compliance offers legal insights on emerging laws and trends impacting the Group.
What You’ll Do
Litigation & Dispute Management – Manage legal disputes and provide strategic advisory to minimize liabilities, ensuring alignment with industry standards and internal policies, while coordinating with external legal counsel.
Labor Relations & Compliance – Develop and implement labor compliance frameworks, provide expert guidance on employment laws and regulatory requirements, and ensure senior leadership is informed of key legal developments.
Compliance & Contract Review – Support the Chief Compliance Officer in reviewing and implementing compliance policies, monitoring adherence to regulatory requirements, and ensuring contracts are properly assessed and drafted.
Training & Education – Assist in developing and delivering training programs, legal resources, and compliance updates to equip stakeholders with knowledge on evolving laws and business implications.
Legal Team Integration – Lead or support team initiatives, foster collaboration, uphold AEV’s core values, and contribute to achieving high performance in the team’s scorecard.
What We’re Looking For
Candidates with a Bachelor’s Degree and Law Degree
Minimum of 4 years in a reputable law firm, with a strong preference for expertise in litigation and labor law
Licensed member in good standing of the Philippine Bar (or other relevant jurisdiction)
Proven commitment to professional growth through relevant legal and compliance training
