NBK Wealth is seeking an experienced legal professional to join its growing Kuwait platform. This is a high-impact role within a leading regional financial institution, offering the opportunity to provide strategic legal counsel on complex, cross-border transactions across global markets.
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting business teams, with a particular focus on alternative investments and real assets, while partnering closely with key stakeholders across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate complex, high-value transaction documentation across a range of asset classes, including alternative investments, private markets, and real assets.
- Provide legal advice on investment structuring, joint ventures, co-investments, and strategic partnerships, with a strong emphasis on cross-border transactions, particularly in Western jurisdictions.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams and external counsel to ensure effective risk management and protection of NBK Wealth’s interests.
- Support the development and launch of investment platforms and products, ensuring compliance with applicable legal and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications & Experience
- Law degree from a reputable institution; UK Solicitor or equivalent international qualification preferred.
- 8-10 years of relevant legal experience gained within a leading law firm, asset manager, investment platform, or financial institution, with strong exposure to asset management, private markets, alternative investments, and real asset transactions.
- Demonstrated expertise in structuring and advising on legal matters relating to real asset investments, including real estate and infrastructure.
- Strong technical capability in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex legal agreements in English and Arabic.
- Solid understanding of structured finance, credit, and real estate transactions.
- Proven ability to engage and influence stakeholders while communicating complex legal concepts clearly and effectively.
- Experience managing transactions independently and coordinating with external advisors and cross-functional teams.
