Legal Assistant – Immigration and Criminal Law
Location: Bellaire and Hillcroft, Houston, TX
Job Type: Full-time (Monday to Saturday)
Salary: $18.00 to $25.00 per hour, based on experience
We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Legal Assistant to join our team. This position focuses on immigration and criminal law and requires a detail-oriented professional who can thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Minimum Requirements – Do Not Apply Unless You Meet All of the Following:
At least 2 years of recent experience as a legal assistant or paralegal
Bilingual – Fluent in Spanish and English (spoken and written)
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Experience completing USCIS immigration forms
Familiar with motions and filings for immigration and criminal courts
Ability to analyze videos and prepare written reports for criminal cases
Skilled in managing deadlines and working under pressure
Experience with legal software such as My Case or Cerenade
Knowledge of Excel, QuickBooks, and LawPay
Ability to manage Google Calendar and schedule appointments
Able to review and organize case evidence effectively
