Job Description

A Litigation Paralegal is a legal professional who works under the supervision of an attorney, primarily responsible for assisting with the preparation of legal documents, conducting legal research, managing case files, and coordinating with clients and opposing counsel throughout the litigation process, including tasks like drafting court pleadings, preparing for hearings and trials, and tracking court deadlines; all while ensuring compliance with legal procedures and ethical standards.

Litigation Paralegal

Pay Rate: $60 000-90 000

Commercial Litigation Paralegal

Our client is currently seeking a Full-time Commercial Litigation Paralegal
with at least 5 years of litigation experience. The right candidate will
be familiar with and have experience in the discovery process,
cite-checking/Sherardizing and E-Filing in federal & state courts.

Responsibilities Include:

Drafts cover letters and other correspondence.

Organizes, manages and updates client files/pleadings (electronic
and paper copies).

Indexes and summarizes documents and depositions.

Performs basic legal and factual research (including electronic and
paper copies).

Discovery and substantive motion support, such as drafting and
preparing, as commensurate with skill set

Qualifications

Requirements:

At least 5+ years relevant experience.

Excellent organizational and follow-up skills.

Ability to handle multiple time-sensitive tasks.

Keen attention to detail.

Ability to work with large document intensive cases.

Proficient in Lexis, Westlaw, Microsoft Word, Excel and ADOBE
Acrobat Professional.

Bachelor’s degree and/or Paralegal Certificate.
