Our tax resolution firm is growing and we need additional staff in our tax resolution department. Currently, our caseload requires we add another experienced Enrolled Agent or CPA to our team.
Tax Defense Firm looking for an accountant experienced in preparing 1040’s with schedule C, Schedule A. Excellent long-term opportunity. Pay is per return. The work can be performed from your home or office.
Duties:
-Filing an OIC or CNC-Setting up tax payment plans-Contact large volume of clients to gather information needed for tax resolution-Contact the client to answer questions regarding tax resolution-Review IRS/State Taxing Authority wage and income transcripts-Contact State Taxing Authorities to request transcripts as needed-Negotiate with the IRS and/or State taxing agency to release wage and/or bank levies.- Review financial documents to establish the best resolution for our clients

Responsibilities:
Evaluate IRS Offer in Compromise, PPIA, CIA, SIA
Collecting relevant tax forms from clients, including W-2s and financial statements
Informing clients throughout the tax preparation process
Inputting data from financial records and tax forms into tax return software (Lacerte)
Completing and self-reviewing tax returns
Oversight of junior tax return preparers
Acting as the client relationship contact throughout the return process
Building customer relationships to promote and expand business
Qualifications:
Proficiency in preparing individual and business tax returns (1040, 1120, 1120S, 1065)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Drive, and Adobe Acrobat
Experience in Lacerte tax software is preferred
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to multitask and keep organized files for many clients at once
EA (minimum requirement), CPA or JD is a plus
