Position:  Assistant Prosecuting Attorney – Clinton County

Position Summary:
Under the direction of the Prosecuting Attorney and the Chief Assistant Prosecuting Attorney, the Assistant Prosecutor will participate in the processing of a variety of complaints from various police agencies and prosecute all phases of criminal matters. Responsibilities include preparing and conducting felony trials, motions, hearings, and appeals in District, Circuit, Juvenile, and Family Courts. Regularly presents cases in court and may assist with other matters as assigned.
Attempts to resolve and dispose of criminal cases. Prepares for and litigates bench trials and jury trials. At a minimum, weekly court appearances, on-the-job training, and continued training opportunities are expected.
Qualifications:
Juris Doctorate Degree from an accredited law school.
Two to four years of experience as a prosecuting attorney.
Member in good standing of the State Bar of Michigan is required.
