We are seeking a Compliance Manager to lead our organization’s regulatory and compliance strategy across affordable housing, green finance, and public investment initiatives. This is a pivotal role for a compliance professional who thrives at the intersection of policy, systems design, and mission-driven impact.

As the steward of internal policy enforcement and regulatory oversight, you’ll ensure organizational integrity while supporting strategic growth into national green finance initiatives. You’ll advise leadership, manage cross-sector partnerships, and oversee project-level compliance from design to long-term monitoring.

What You’ll Do

Strategic Oversight & Risk Mitigation

Lead organization-wide compliance strategy across housing, environmental, and financial programs
Advise executive leadership and the Board on risk mitigation and regulatory alignment
Build partnerships with developers, legal teams, and government agencies to resolve issues collaboratively

Regulatory Compliance & Risk Assessment

Interpret complex federal, state, and local regulations (EPA, SEC, HUD, etc.)
Monitor changing regulatory landscapes and recommend policy updates
Lead internal risk assessments and implement corrective action plans
Ensure compliance with ethics rules, records retention, and public sector obligations

Program Monitoring, Reporting & Documentation

Design long-term compliance frameworks for housing and climate resilience projects
Track KPIs, developer obligations, and reporting milestones for PILOT agreements and other initiatives
Manage Inflation Reduction Act reporting to GGRF intermediaries, EPA, and internal stakeholders
Deliver audit-ready documentation, policy memos, and board-level compliance updates

Systems & Process Improvement

Develop SOPs, workflows, and training to ensure organization-wide compliance readiness
Supervise compliance staff and external consultants
Integrate technology solutions to streamline data tracking, submission systems, and impact reporting
What You Bring

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree (JD, MPA, MPP, or related) preferred
6-8 years of experience in compliance, regulatory affairs, or legal/policy oversight
Experience with federal programs (HUD, IRA) or public finance strongly preferred

Key Skills

Expertise in regulatory compliance for housing, environmental programs, or public finance
Proficient in project monitoring, reporting frameworks, and government audits
Exceptional communicator-able to translate technical requirements into actionable guidance
Strategic thinker with strong systems-building and project management skills
Experience managing teams and leading cross-functional compliance initiatives
