Support and assist the Manager, Senior Manager, and Vice President – Legal for Integrated Resort Operations in the exercise of his/her assigned duties and responsibilities;
Represent the Company in the litigation of appropriate cases brought before the courts or quasi-judicial bodies;
Review case endorsements for possible legal action, including assessment of information and document evaluation of assigned cases;
Prepare and review court pleadings and other documents relative to court cases wherein the Company is involved;
Coordinate and consult with the concerned departments or officers on the referred cases for legal action;
Monitor the progress of cases and other legal concerns handled by external counsels;
Review and, if necessary, recommend revisions or modifications on contracts/agreements and/or prepare such contracts/agreements when so requested;
Render legal opinions and/or advise on any legal queries referred by the Company or any of its departments;
Investigate and/or, in appropriate cases, attend administrative disciplinary cases involving employees and recommend appropriate administrative or disciplinary measures in accordance with the policies/regulations promulgated by the Company;
Conduct research and/or submit reports on legal questions affecting the Company;
Perform other remedial legal services, i.e., preparation of demand letters, meeting with clients and/or third parties for possible settlement of claims or cases;
Exercise other functions as may be required by the Company.
Requirements
Admitted as a member of the Philippine Bar and who is in good and regular standing.
Possess comprehensive knowledge of corporate law, labor law, and in litigation.
Ability to effectively convey appropriate thoughts positively and respectfully.
Addresses problems clearly and logically.
At least two (2) years of experience in the practice of law.
Experience as in-house counsel or as an associate in a law firm.
