Embark on a journey of change with MAS, by joining the MAS Capital team as an Assistant Manager – Code of Conduct. We are on the lookout for a dedicated individual to develop strategy and implement action plans for the MAS Code of Conduct and all related policies across the MAS group of companies. Aligning business units to Group HR objectives, teaching and educating business units on HR practices related to the Code of Conduct and managing grievances and violations of policies and MAS values.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Plan effective, continuous education and awareness campaigns for the MAS Code of Conduct among all employees at MAS – global adoption

Develop training material and innovative awareness and education methods

Develop effective tracking and measurement for the MAS Code of Conduct and its policies in terms of awareness, adoption and accessibility

Design effective tracking and measurement methods for grievances that are reported

Work with the MAS Group Risk team on audits of the reporting system and grievances handled by Divisions

Develop effective methods for updating the Audit Committee and coordinating with all SBUs at MAS for records of grievances

Manage communication with Divisional heads and SBU champs on Audit Committee requirements

Develop effective communication material on the MAS Code of Conduct and its progress for CEOs and MCAP Board

Review and update existing Code of Conduct related policies and work on implementation across the MAS Group

Research and develop new policies as required by the organization and the governance requirements identified based on global best practices

Educate employees across the group regarding the usage of the MAS Code of Conduct website and MAS Code of Conduct Help Desk and ensure necessary enhancements and the information on the website is updated in a timely manner.

Manage and assign cases of non-compliance that come through the MAS Code of Conduct Help Desk, to appropriate Code Officers

Assist in managing the confidential information on the MAS Code of Conduct help desk in a timely manner.

Investigate and close, cases on non-compliance managed by the central Code of Conduct team – conduct interviews, prepare necessary reports, obtain statements, provide opinions on way forward for management decisions, in consultation with the General Manager.

Advise Divisions and SBUs on cases investigated by divisional and SBU teams, sharing best practices, legal implications and consequence management practices from across the group

Assist in special projects organized by Group Human resources teams (Women Go Beyond, Eco Go Beyond, Learning & Development) to effectively manage their initiatives.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

Degree in Human Resources, Management or Law

4 years’ work experience

Language Proficiency in English and Sinhala

Proficiency in Microsoft office applications

IT Literate and numerical skills

Good Knowledge of Sri-Lankan Labour Laws would be advantageous
