Summary of Work
The Assistant Licensing Administrator assists the Finance Division by performing the following tasks:
- Review of all incoming licensing applications for eleven different license types, correspond with applicant regarding additional items needed, determine if applicant meets criteria for issuance of a temporary license, and prepare and issue temporary license to applicant
- Preparation of documents and tasks included in fulfilling above duty/responsibility
- Telephone and Customer Assistance with general licensing inquiries including both verbal and written communication
- Computer Application (Word, Excel, Progress, Peoplesoft, Outlook and Internet) to help the licensing unit with files, storage, organization, communication, and scheduling
- Record retention & filing system
- Process Incoming Mail and Prepare Daily Deposits
- Backup Licensing Administrator
- Other duties as assigned
In addition to the monthly salary, this position includes fully paid health insurance for employee and family, the option to participate in employee-paid dental and vision for employee and family, participation in the state NDPERS defined contribution retirement plan as well as the option to participate in the 457 deferred compensation plan, the option to contribute to a medical spending account, and earning annual and sick leave.
Minimum Qualifications
- A High School diploma or equivalent, or a combination of education, training, and experience which demonstrates equivalent knowledge, skills, and abilities
- Demonstrated experience in office support, customer service or additional related education as dictated by the hiring agency.
- Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Interpersonal skills needed to work well with clients, colleagues, and the public.
- Excellent time management and organization skills.
- Successful completion of the interview process, reference checks, and standard background and criminal record checks to determine knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform assistant licensing administrator tasks.
