* This is an opportunity for a motivated lawyer to provide legal support to HCSC’s legal team and other internal business partners supporting HCSC Medicaid managed care/CHIP programs. Juris Doctor Degree and a license to practice law in the state where the position is located.
8 years’ experience as an attorney with demonstrated understanding/experience of the health care or insurance field.
Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills.
Negotiation and diplomacy skills.
PREFERRED JOB **
Knowledge or understanding of the health care, health insurance, or claim administration field.
5+ years’ experience with state Medicaid/CHIP program issues, such as policies, regulations, and guidance issued by state Medicaid agencies and/or CMS, state and federal legislative and regulatory activity related to Medicaid/CHIP, Medicaid/CHIP managed care delivery systems, contracting, payment integrity, coverage issues, member grievances, reimbursement, or models/demonstration projects under section 1115 of the Social Security Act.
Strong business collaboration and writing skills, including the ability to clearly provide legal counsel and solutions to complex issues.
