Boutique real estate, probate and land use firm seeks an experienced attorney to join its growing practice. Alter, Pearson & Hope, LLC, represents clients of all sizes in matters related to real estate including land use and development, residential and commercial real estate transactions and finance, leasing, complex title matters, real estate and commercial litigation, business transactions and general corporate representation and estate planning and estate settlement.

The ideal candidate will have at least three years of experience in real estate and one or more of the other above-mentioned areas. Applicants should have strong drafting and advocacy skills, and solid fundamentals in the firm’s practice areas. Pay: From $100,000, consisting of a base salary plus quarterly bonuses based on established levels of productivity.

Responsibilities:

Conduct legal research using tools such as Westlaw to support senior attorneys.
Draft and review of legal documents, including contracts, conveyancing documents, pleadings, motions and estate planning documents.
Provide legal advice and guidance to clients on various matters related to the firm’s practice areas.
Collaborate with senior attorneys on complex matters and contribute to strategy development.
Maintain organized files and ensure all documentation is up-to-date and compliant with legal standards.
Participate in client meetings to discuss progress and provide updates on legal matters.

Qualifications:

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Admission to the Connecticut bar.
Strong understanding of residential and commercial real estate, estate planning and estate settlement, corporate representation, and/or commercial litigation is preferred.
Proven experience in legal drafting and conducting comprehensive legal research.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to articulate complex legal concepts clearly.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while managing multiple matters effectively.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in all aspects of work.
