Expected salary range of $192,600 to $214,000, varies based on experience, along with comprehensive benefits package that includes bonus and 401(k).
Primary Purpose Of Position
A senior lawyer who is a highly qualified attorney handling complex legal matters and projects on behalf of the Company.
Primary Duties And Accountabilities
- Handle and supervise complex energy transactions; evaluate both legal and business risks and advise clients accordingly with minimal supervision.
- Review and draft commercial contracts and advise clients accordingly.
- Work closely with and advise clients on business operations, emergent industry opportunities and developments and other related matters.
- Projects / duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- 8-years professional experience in a specialized area of law
- Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly both orally and in writing and to analyze legal materials and data
- Excellent legal research, analytical abilities, and knowledge of federal and or state law
- Demonstrated comprehensive knowledge of legal principles, practices, and procedures, with the ability to apply them to complex assignments
- An LLB or JD from an accredited law school and be licensed to practice law in the relevant jurisdictions
Preferred Qualifications
- Law firm experience.
- 4 to 8 years of professional experience drafting contracts.
- Experience and knowledge of the energy industry and in particular independent power producers and nuclear power plants.
- Proven legal analytical and drafting abilities.
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing; to analyze legal materials and other data; to work in stressful conditions under time deadlines; and to provide realistic risk assessments and practical advice to clients.
