Job Summary
Zimmer Law Group, a boutique immigration law firm located in St. Paul, Minnesota, seeks a full time, Spanish speaking associate attorney to handle family-based, employment-based, and/or removal defense cases. Applicants should have strong legal research and writing skills and experience in immigration law. Qualified candidates must be able to manage a high caseload in an organized manner. Applicants should be able to communicate with clients in a professional, compassionate and concise manner. Furthermore, Applicants should be available for Firm promotional activities and participate in events and activities that generate and expand the business. In addition, Zimmer Law Group seeks an associate attorney that takes a leadership role in firm and staff development and contributes to our team in addition to completing their individual casework.

Responsibilities
Conduct consultations with potential clients to assess options and determine case strategy
Manage cases by preparing filings, communicating with clients and monitoring billing
Represent clients before the Executive Office for Immigration Review (EOIR) and the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS)
Mentor staff members to develop their understanding of cases and skill set
Supervise the progression of cases managed by case managers
Attend marketing events in the community, sometimes on weekends or evenings
Assist in the overall development and growth of the firm
Requirements
Bar Admission (any state, Minnesota preferred)
Oral and written fluency in Spanish
At least one year of experience with removal defense work in immigration court
Two to three years of experience in immigration law preferred
Strong critical thinking and writing skills
