We are seeking a Document Specialist/Legal Assistant for our Social Security Disability department. The ideal candidate must have strong communication skills, both verbal and written. This candidate must have the ability to work in a high volume, fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment as well as be reliable, highly organized, pay strong attention to detail and have excellent time management skills.
This position is full-time, Monday through Friday 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM. We offer an excellent benefits package.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Placing calls to Social Security to check the status of claims;
Completing and submitting applications by hard copies and online;
Completing and submitting appeals by hard copies and online;
Submit all necessary documents to Social Security;
Data entry;
Follow up phone calls with prospective and current clients;
Meet with prospective clients/current clients to assist with the signing of required forms;
Handles additional tasks as necessary.
Education: Associates Degree
