Job Description / Responsibility
Job Context:
Global Profit Garment (Bangladesh) Co., Ltd. is a modern, 100% export-oriented woven garments manufacturing company committed to ethical business practices, workplace safety, sustainability, and international compliance standards. We are looking for a dedicated, energetic, and career-oriented professional to join our HR & Compliance Department.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist in preparing the factory for all buyer, third-party, certification, and regulatory compliance audits.
- Support the implementation and monitoring of compliance requirements in accordance with Bangladesh Labour Law, ILO Conventions, and buyers` Codes of Conduct.
- Maintain compliance-related documents, records, registers, reports, and audit files in an organized and audit-ready manner.
- Assist in monitoring compliance regarding working hours, wages, overtime, leave, employment practices, health & safety, and worker welfare.
- Participate in internal compliance inspections, factory walkthroughs, and follow-up activities to ensure continuous compliance.
- Support the implementation of Corrective Action Plans (CAPs) and ensure timely closure of audit observations.
- Coordinate with different departments to collect compliance evidence and maintain required documentation.
- Assist in conducting worker awareness programs, compliance training, and orientation sessions.
- Support environmental, health & safety, fire safety, and sustainability initiatives throughout the factory.
- Communicate professionally with buyers, auditors, consultants, and external stakeholders whenever required.
- Prepare periodic compliance reports and perform any other duties assigned by Management.
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor/Honors
- Masters
- Candidates with educational backgrounds in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Environmental Science,
- PGD in Social Compliance or related disciplines will receive preference.
- Skills Required: Social Compliance, Compliance Audit, HR and compliance
Experience Requirements
- At least 3 year(s)
- The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Garments, Textile, Garments Accessories
Additional Requirements
- Experience: Practical experience in the Compliance Department of a reputed Woven and/or Knit Garments Factory.
- Basic knowledge of Bangladesh Labour Act 2006, Labour Rules 2015.
- Familiarity with international compliance standards such as BSCI, WRAP, SEDEX/SMETA, RSC, Higg Index, OEKO-TEX®, GOTS, GRS, OCS, RCS, ICS, and C-TPAT will be considered an advantage.
- Basic understanding of social compliance, environmental compliance, occupational health & safety and sustainability practices.
- Good communication skills in both English and Bengali (written and spoken).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong organizational, documentation, and reporting skills.
- Positive attitude, willingness to learn, ability to work under pressure, and good teamwork skills.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to details.
