About the Role:
As a key member of our team, you’ll handle a mix of commercial and business litigation matters and provide proactive legal counsel on business transactions. You’ll manage your own caseload with support from experienced colleagues and staff, and have direct access to clients, courts, and decision-makers.
Typical Matters:
Breach of contract disputes
Partnership and shareholder disagreements
Commercial and residential real estate litigation
Business tort claims
Commercial collections
Corporate formations and business entity structuring
Contract drafting and negotiation
Asset purchase agreements and business sales
Key Responsibilities:
Represent clients in state and federal courts, arbitrations, and mediations
Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and contracts
Provide strategic, practical advice to business owners on risk management and dispute resolution
Develop and maintain strong client relationships
Negotiate settlements and business deals
Collaborate with clients’ CPAs, lenders, and financial professionals
Contribute to firm growth and process improvements
What We’re Looking For:
Kentucky-licensed attorney in good standing
3+ years of experience in business/commercial litigation or business law (more is great!)
Confident communicator and problem solver
Comfortable working independently with strong organizational skills
Proactive, practical, and able to manage multiple cases and deadlines
Tech-friendly and eager to learn new tools
Positive attitude, team player, and community-minded
