We are seeking a Receptionist/Legal Assistant for a small family law firm in Memphis, TN.
The ideal candidate will be able to work in a fast-paced environment, handling a variety of detail-oriented tasks. This role is critical to the success of the firm as it is a key enabler to providing excellent service to the firm’s clients.
Duties and responsibilities
Welcoming, greeting, and directing clients, in person and on the telephone; answering or referring inquiries
Answering, transferring and documenting phone calls
Sorting mail, scanning, and filing documents
Setting up new client files
Maintaining client files
Other miscellaneous administrative tasks, including ordering supplies
Qualifications
Prior legal experience a must
Family law experience preferred, but not required
General computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
High attention to detail
Strong organizational and prioritization skills
Personal accountability, tenacity and follow-through
Team-oriented and positive personality
Professional oral and written communication skills
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 36.5 per week
