Analyst – Legal Jobs in New York, NY at Amex
Miller Canfield is seeking an individual to assist with its high volume arbitration claims. The individual will be responsible for preparing responses and arguing positions telephonically on behalf of an automotive OEM for arbitration claims nationwide.
The individual will be primarily responsible for the following:
Coherently, concisely and logically write the client’s position in the contention
Independently appear telephonically at arbitration hearings
Effectively, confidently, and knowledgeably argue the client’s position at telephonic arbitration hearings
Review and proofread written contentions
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required
Minimum High School Diploma required
Advanced technological (Microsoft Excel, Adobe, Microsoft suite) knowledge
Ability to organize and prioritize numerous tasks and complete them under time constraints
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Effectively utilize available resources
Work independently and within a team
Engineering knowledge is a plus but not required
Automotive experience is a plus but not required
