Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Legal Assistant/Receptionist to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for clients and visitors, providing exceptional customer service while managing various administrative tasks. This role requires some understanding of legal terminology and procedures, as well as proficiency in document management systems. The Legal Assistant/Receptionist will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our office.

Responsibilities

Greet clients and visitors warmly, ensuring a professional atmosphere.
Manage incoming calls with excellent phone etiquette, directing them to the appropriate personnel.
Assist with clerical duties including filing, data entry, and maintaining organized records.
Transcribe legal documents and correspondence accurately.
Support attorneys with legal drafting and preparation of documents related to law, administrative law, and estate planning/administration.
Utilize document management systems to maintain accurate and accessible files.
Coordinate schedules and manage appointments for attorneys.
Assist in project management tasks as needed to support ongoing cases.

Skills

Legal administrative skills with attention to detail.
Proficient in clerical tasks including typing, filing, and data management.
Experience with legal drafting and transcribing documents accurately is helpful.
Ability to effectively manage documents using document management systems.
Proficient with Office365, to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Knowledge of WordPerfect is helpful.
Excellent phone etiquette and interpersonal communication skills.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18.85 – $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 25 per week
