A law firm is seeking a highly motivated Senior Associate or Counsel to join its nationally recognized Employment & Labor practice. This role requires at least six years of experience, with a strong focus on counseling and defending both single-plaintiff and class/collective actions related to employment matters such as wage and hour issues, harassment, and discrimination. The ideal candidate will also possess excellent legal research skills, a high level of responsibility, and the ability to manage client engagements efficiently.

Counsel and defend employers in single-plaintiff employment cases and class/collective actions related to wage and hour issues, discrimination, and harassment.
Advise on employment matters including discipline/discharge, restrictive covenants, ADA/FMLA compliance, and general workplace practices.
Take and defend depositions, manage written discovery, and draft and argue motions.
Draft complex class and collective certification opposition briefs.
Draft and review employment agreements, separation agreements, employee handbooks, and other employment-related documents.
Conduct legal research and provide strategic advice on employment law issues.
Manage multiple client engagements and priorities, maintaining a high degree of responsibility.
Minimum of 6 years of experience in employment law, with significant exposure to both single-plaintiff and class/collective actions.
Experience in counseling employers on various employment issues, including wage and hour, discrimination, and harassment.
Proficient in drafting complex legal documents, including employment agreements and handbooks.
Strong legal research, analytical, and communication skills.
Ability to handle depositions, discovery, and legal motions effectively.
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Educati
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
Admitted to the state bar (California preferred).
