A Renowned Trading Group of Company is looking for AGM – Commercial
Job Description / Responsibility
- Lead and oversee the entire lifecycle of high-value Government and Corporate tenders, ensuring 100% compliance, strategic bid preparation, and competitive pricing models.
- Build, foster, and maintain high-level strategic relationships with key Government stakeholders, institutional heads, and ministry decision-makers.
- Evaluate tender documents for financial and legal risks. Review and manage commercial requirements, including Letter of Credit (L/C) documentation, bank guarantees, and coordinate financial risk assessments.
- Track and identify upcoming, high-value government procurement plans, ministry budgets, and national annual development programs (ADP) to align business pipeline early.
- Responsible for timely understanding and coordinating business operations with customs, port authorities, and other government departments at the ports of Bangladesh (Chattogram, Mongla and Payra Port);
- Familiarize with the local market, screen qualified suppliers, and procure engineering materials, especially bulk goods such as coal, wheat and fertilizer etc.
- Monitor import documentation, including PI, LC, Insurance Cover Note, Shipping Documents, Bill of Entry, and related compliance documents.
- Ensure compliance with Import Policy Order, Customs Act, VAT regulations, Bangladesh Bank guidelines, international trade policies and other relevant laws.
- Maintain import cost analysis and identify opportunities for cost optimization in freight, duty, and logistics expenses.
- Follow up on pending LC (Letter of Credit) issues and ensure timely resolution.
- Ensure timely communication with suppliers, banks, C&F agents, and internal stakeholders.
- Effective communication with internal and external stakeholders, demonstrating patience and respect;
- Collaborate well with overseas team members and provide support and encouragement when needed
Educational Requirements
- Masters
- Master of Business Administration (MBA)
- Master's degree in Business Administration, Management, Supply Chain Management, International Business, Commerce, or a related discipline from any reputed university.
- Professional certifications in Commercial, Supply Chain, Logistics or International Trade will be considered an added advantage.
Experience Requirements
- At least 15 year(s)
