Affirmative Homeowner Litigation Attorney Jobs in Denver, CO at Community Economic Defense Project

The purpose of this position is to serve as Bailiff for Justice of the Peace Court and to perform various law enforcement functions.

This class works under close supervision according to set procedures.

Essential Functions

The essential functions listed below are those that represent the majority of the time spent working in this class. Management may assign additional functions related to the type of work of the class as necessary.

Maintain order within the courtroom, acting as a Bailiff.
Carry out the business of the court system by serving warrants, transporting prisoners, service of summons, complaints and subpoenas, and enforcing protection from abuse orders as well as orders of eviction and judgement levies.
Performs related work as assigned.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

Requires an Associate’s Degree or specialized courses/training equivalent to satisfactory completion of two (2) years of college in Criminal Justice or related field.
Requires one (1) year of experience in the Court System, Criminal Justice, Office Management or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
Class 3 Advanced

Physical Demands:

Physical demands refer to the requirements for physical exertion and coordination of limb and body movement.

Performs sedentary work that involves walking or standing some of the time and involves exerting up to 10 pounds of force on a regular and recurring basis or sustained keyboard operations.

Unavoidable Hazards (Work Environment):

Unavoidable hazards refer to the job conditions that may lead to injury or health hazards even though precautions have been taken.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $36,660.00 per year
