Role Description
The junior attorney (tax specialist) will support attorneys in providing tax law advice and representation to clients in Slovakia. This full-time on-site role in our office in Pezinok includes drafting and reviewing legal documents, researching tax legislation and case law, and preparing analyses for matters such as cross-border transactions, permanent establishments, tax structuring, M&A, and tax disputes. The role involves assisting in client meetings, preparing submissions to tax authorities and courts, and helping to develop practical solutions to complex tax issues. The junior attorney (tax specialist) will collaborate with colleagues, maintain accurate case files, and contribute to the continuous improvement of internal know-how and templates.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Law, with a focus or interest in Tax Law and related regulations.
- Ability to perform thorough Research and analytical work on tax and legal issues.
- Experience or aptitude in Legal Document Preparation and Document Review for contracts, opinions, and filings.
- Clear and professional Communication skills, both written and verbal, in client-facing and internal contexts.
- Completed or ongoing legal education qualifying for the role of junior attorney (tax specialist) in Slovakia.
- Fluency in Slovak and good command of English; additional languages are an advantage.
- Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple tasks under deadlines.
- Proactive, responsible approach to work and willingness to learn in a specialized tax law environment.
