Introduction Our client, a well-established legal practice based in Centurion, is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Admitted Attorney to join their team on a permanent basis.
This opportunity is suited to a legal professional with a strong litigation background and broad experience across multiple practice areas.
The successful candidate will possess excellent legal acumen, be capable of managing matters independently, and be committed to providing exceptional legal services to clients.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Manage a diverse portfolio of legal matters across Labour Law, Civil Litigation, Family Law, and Commercial Law.
- Represent clients in the High Court and other relevant courts and tribunals.
- Draft, review, and prepare legal documents, including pleadings, contracts, opinions, notices, and correspondence.
- Conduct legal research and provide sound legal advice to clients.
- Attend consultations with clients and provide strategic legal guidance.
- Handle litigation matters from inception through to finalisation.
- Prepare for and attend court appearances, mediations, arbitrations, and settlement negotiations.
- Manage case files, ensuring compliance with court rules, procedural requirements, and deadlines.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure all legal documentation is properly filed and administered.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through professional and responsive service.
- Keep abreast of legislative developments and relevant case law.
Requirements
- Admitted Attorney with Right of Appearance in the High Court.
- Minimum of 5 years’ post-admission experience.
- Proven experience in:
- Labour Law
- Civil Litigation
- Family Law
- Commercial Law
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and legal practice management systems.
- Caselines & Court Online Proficiency
- Strong drafting, negotiation, and litigation skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple matters simultaneously.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- High level of professionalism, integrity, and attention to detail.
- Client-focused with a commitment to delivering high-quality legal services.
