Carbonvert is a CCS Project Development and Finance company based in Denver, Colorado. We are seeking a full-time Paralegal to join our Houston team. Minimum of 5 years of experience with the below responsibilities. Ideal candidates will have a blend of both law firm and in-house experience. Energy exposure a plus. This is not a remote position.

Pay Range: $65,000-$125,000 base salary per year. This base salary range represents the low and high end of the Carbonvert salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Carbonvert’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, and long-term incentives. In addition, Carbonvert provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).
Summary
Reporting to the General Counsel, this position will be responsible for supporting all legal activities of the Company. The position will have prime responsibility for maintaining the Company’s virtual data room, processing and tracking standard agreements such as NDAs and maintaining the good standing of the Company’s corporate entities.
Representative Duties and Responsibilities
Maintaining company’s virtual data room
Drafting, managing and maintaining corporate records, including entity formation documents, preparation of board meeting materials and corporate resolutions
Reviewing, editing, finalizing and filing standard agreements such as NDAs and consulting agreements
Preparing company correspondence
Document management for mergers and acquisitions, project financing and general transactional closings
Administering contracts (e.g., tracking contract deadlines)
Proactively and efficiently managing systems, documents, and deadlines
Reviewing, tracking and monitoring legislation that impacts the Company
Professional communication with leadership team and other departments to support miscellaneous tasks, projects, and evolving business needs
Collaborate with other departments on cross-functional projects
Manage relationships with external vendors related to legal services
Education, Skills and Experience Required
Minimum of 5 years of experience with the above responsibilities. Ideal candidates will have a blend of both law firm and in-house experience. Energy exposure a plus.
Undergraduate degree
Paralegal certificate from an ABA accredited program (preferred)
Ideal candidates will be nimble and adaptive about processes and challenges. Start-up cultures are best for professionals who do not need routines or directed work. This position will require creative thinking.
Proficiency using virtual data rooms to upload and organize documents
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Superb attention to details as well as organizational and multitasking skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Environmental Conditions
This position will be based in Denver, Colorado or Houston, Texas and will offer some flexibility for hybrid work schedules but with regular in-office presence expected
Works indoors in home or office environment
Occasional travel to other office locations (less than 10%)
