At Launch That, we invest in our people, our work, and our community. Founded in 2007 as a bold digital marketing startup, we’ve grown from two founders in a garage to a thriving team of nearly 100 digital, tech, creative, and content professionals in downtown Orlando.
We cover 100% of the premium cost for employee-only medical coverage for all full-time team members. We also offer 100% employer-paid short- and long-term disability insurance, competitive compensation, paid time off, 20 days of paid parental leave after 90 days, a 401(k)-retirement plan, paid volunteer opportunities, and more! And because we believe in balance, all full-time team members get a paid company-wide holiday break from December 24th to January 1st each year.
Our hybrid work model reflects our dedication to collaboration and flexibility. We have the option of working from home on Mondays and Fridays. We come together in the office on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays to maximize creativity, teamwork, and connection. Life is dynamic, so we offer flexibility for the realities of childcare, doctor appointments, and homeownership.
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for a licensed attorney with direct experience in Mass Tort litigation, ideally involving defective drugs, medical devices, or product liability. The ideal candidate has a strong professional presence, hands-on litigation experience, and a digital footprint that highlights their work through writing, media appearances, or other forms of professional engagement.
This role focuses primarily on legal research and content creation for our in-house brands, which will make up about 80% of your time. The remaining 20% includes providing expert commentary to external publications and supporting brand-building through professional visibility. You may appear on video, offer legal insights to media outlets, or write content for legal platforms. A solid background in legal research and writing is essential, along with the ability to break down complex litigation into content that is clear, accurate, and easy to understand.
Responsibilities
Monitor and analyze developments in mass tort litigation (MDLs, court filings, regulatory actions).
Create a wide range of legal content, including news updates, case summaries, white papers, guides, and plaintiff-centered narratives.
Conduct expert legal reviews of existing content to ensure accuracy and relevance.
Translate complex legal issues into accessible language for a general audience.
Serve as a media-facing legal expert by offering commentary, writing op-eds, and contributing to external publications.
Participate in webinars, podcasts, and community education events.
Interview attorneys, plaintiffs, and affected families to incorporate authentic stories.
Engage in conferences and legal associations as a brand representative.
Quality Impact
Improve public understanding of active and emerging lawsuits.
Help position our platform as a trusted legal resource.
Ensure our legal materials are both legally sound and reader-friendly.
Elevate the quality of our storytelling by integrating firsthand legal and plaintiff perspectives.
Team Impact
Partner with editorial, marketing, and outreach teams to align legal insights with strategic goals.
Represent the legal voice within cross-functional initiatives, ensuring accuracy and authority.
Build and nurture relationships with our partner law firms, external legal professionals and organizations to enrich content and outreach.
Contribute to the brand’s public presence and community trust through active engagement and visibility.
Qualifications
Juris Doctor (J.D.) required; active bar membership preferred.
Demonstrated experience in mass tort litigation (e.g., dangerous drugs, defective medical devices, product liability).
Exceptional legal writing and research skills with the ability to explain legal concepts clearly to non-legal audiences.
Familiarity with court filings, MDL structures, and legal trends.
Public-facing presence and comfort appearing in media or at events.
Strong professional network and/or digital footprint in the legal field a plus.
