We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Legal Secretary to join our dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of various areas of law, including estate planning, workers compensation law, criminal law, and family law. This role is essential in providing assistance to our attorney and ensuring the smooth operation of our legal practice. You will have a large, private, newly remodeled office!! Hours are flexible depending on your life responsibilities or commute (ex. 8:00-4:00 / 8:30-4:30 / etc.) We close on Fridays at 3:00! We are also pet and family-friendly! Responsibilities

Assist attorney with case preparation and management by organizing files and maintaining accurate records.
Draft, proofread, and file legal documents in accordance with court requirements.
Manage schedules, appointments, and deadlines for attorney.
Handle data entry tasks efficiently to maintain up-to-date client information.
Billing and case management tasks.
Communicate with clients, witnesses, and other parties involved in legal matters.
Answering telephone and responding to emails.

Skills

Strong knowledge of estate planning, workers compensation law, criminal law, and family law is preferred but not necessary. Will train the right person.
Proficiency in legal administrative tasks including filing, data entry, and document preparation.
Excellent research skills to gather relevant information effectively.
Strong organizational abilities with attention to detail to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Proficient in using MS Word or similar applications.
Exceptional communication skills both written and verbal to interact professionally with clients and colleagues.
Ability to work independently.

Pay: $32,000.00 – $40,000.00 per year
