Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Property Management Compliance Officer to join our client’s team in a part-time, fully remote capacity. This role requires relevant experience in property management compliance and a good understanding of real estate regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Stay current on relevant laws and regulations related to property management (e.g., Fair Housing Act, building codes, tenant rights, lease agreements, and safety standards).
Ensure company compliance with regulations by monitoring and auditing property management processes.
Review and update internal policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure compliance with new and existing laws.
Ensure property management documentation (e.g., leases, maintenance requests, tenant communications) is compliant with applicable laws.
Conduct regular audits and assessments of property management activities to ensure adherence to legal and internal compliance standards.
Identify areas of risk, propose actionable solutions, and collaborate with relevant teams to address compliance issues.
Answer compliance-related questions and provide actionable advice on property management practices.
Prepare and present compliance reports to management, highlighting risks, issues, and resolutions.
Required Qualifications:
At least 2-3 years of experience in property or real estate compliance management, legal compliance, or related fields.
Familiarity with property management platforms.
Experience working in a remote work environment is a plus.
