Todd & Weld LLP is seeking a highly talented Litigation Paralegal. The ideal candidate will manage complex and document-intensive commercial litigation cases. Possess the ability to work both independently and with attorneys on trial preparations, electronic and paper discovery, document review, document production, and organization of exhibits and documents.
Duties include:
Collect and organize documents electronically, perform extensive document review and analysis with the ability to summarize and extract key points relevant to the case.
Independently review documents for responsiveness, privilege and production; create production logs and privilege logs.
Responsible for database organization, coding and designing tags and issues relevant to the case. Ability to perform redactions and exports of document productions.
Prepare attorneys for depositions, including performing key word searches within document productions and prior deposition and exhibits, organizing and putting documents in chronological order.
Summarize and digest depositions, key documents, medical records, and business records.
Prepare for and attend trial; prepare trial exhibits for judge and jurors, prepare witness binders, create demonstratives, coordinate logistics, serve as liaison between trial attorneys, clients, witnesses and in-house staff, take cohesive notes and formulate opinions form testimony and jury observations.
Conduct various document searches and factual research: Create and maintain internal case databases, run searches on internal and external document databases and systems, cull relevant information form a variety of resources such as newspapers, magazines, libraries, case documents and trade associations.
Minimum Requirements and Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years’ experience as a litigation paralegal and/or alternative position involving eDiscovery and litigation
Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
Strong analytical skills with a demonstrated ability to anticipate needs and exercises judgment for resolution
Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
Thorough understanding of the litigation life cycle
Thorough understanding of federal and local filing procedures (electronic and hard copy)
Ability to maintain large volumes of documents and data utilizing databases and spreadsheets
Ability to locate and research information applicable to a matter, person, regulation, and/or transaction through online research, document review, and due diligence
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Bachelor’s degree preferred
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 – $75,000.00 per year
