The company is building a tech-powered, multi-vendor rental ecosystem that connects customers to reliable rental options across Malaysia. Team members join a growing travel-tech business that values customer experience and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and maintain contracts, agreements, and legal correspondence.
- Assist in preparing rental agreements, supplier contracts, partnership agreements, and service-level agreements.
- Monitor contract renewals, Traffic Summons expiry dates, and legal obligations.
- Ensure compliance with Malaysian laws, company policies, and industry regulations.
- Liaise with external lawyers, regulators, government agencies, insurers, and business partners.
- Prepare and organize legal documentation for litigation, arbitration, or dispute resolution when required.
- Conduct legal research on corporate, commercial, consumer protection, employment, and data privacy matters.
- Support intellectual property matters, including trademarks, copyrights, and branding protection.
- Maintain corporate records, licenses, permits, and statutory documents.
- Assist with company secretarial and corporate governance documentation.
- Review marketing materials, website content, and promotional campaigns for legal compliance.
- Support the management of customer disputes, claims, accidents, insurance matters, and debt recovery (Summons).
- Maintain confidentiality of legal and corporate information.
- Develop and update legal policies, compliance procedures, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Track changes in legislation that may affect business operations and advise management accordingly.
- Prepare legal reports and provide administrative support to the legal department.
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LLB), Legal Studies, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in a legal assistant, paralegal, or corporate legal support role.
- Knowledge of Malaysian contract law, corporate law, employment law, and consumer protection legislation.
- Excellent legal drafting and document management skills.
- Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving abilities.
- High attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal document management systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in Malay is an advantage.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining confidentiality.
