Location: Broward County , Florida
Overview: We are seeking a skilled and adaptable Court Reporter to join our team. This position requires a blend of part-time remote work and live appearances in Broward County. The ideal candidate will possess previous experience, strong digital or stenographic skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast paced, legal environment.
Responsibilities:
Attend court proceedings, hearings, and depositions to capture verbatim records using stenographic machines or digital court reporting equipment/softwares.
Conduct remote reporting for virtual proceedings, utilizing video conferencing technology to capture proceedings remotely.
Requirements:
Minimum six months to one year of experience as a Court Reporter.
Familiarity with court reporting software, video conferencing platforms, and transcription tools.
Ability to adapt to changing technologies and procedural requirements in the legal field.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with legal professionals and court personnel.
Meticulous attention to detail and strong proofreading skills to ensure accuracy in transcripts.
Dependable and punctual with a commitment to meeting deadlines and fulfilling responsibilities.
Willingness to work a hybrid schedule, including remote work and occasional in-person appearances at the courthouse as needed.
