A global investment management firm is seeking a Legal & Compliance Officer. The selected candidate will support compliance, investment structuring, and legal oversight across global offices.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with investment and operations teams to address compliance and investment-related matters
Assist with compliance monitoring and oversight for registered investment companies
Track regulatory updates and recommend policy or procedural changes
Negotiate transactional agreements, including assignments, participations, and limited partnerships
Prepare and negotiate side letters on behalf of clients
Support legal structuring and oversight of SMAs, including offering documents and service provider agreements
Requirements:
More than 3 years as a practicing attorney or paralegal in investment management/private funds
Experience in private markets fund formation
Working knowledge of Japan’s Financial Instruments and Exchange Act and relevant securities regulations
Professional level Japanese and English
